Police Release Video Of Lincoln Park Stabbing Suspect
Surveillance footage has been released of a man who allegedly stabbed a woman repeatedly on Webster Avenue Tuesday night.
CHICAGO, IL — Chicago police have released a video of a suspect who allegedly attacked a woman in Lincoln Park Tuesday. The victim was stabbed multiple times in the 1200 block of West Webster around 11 p.m., police said. In the video, the suspect parks a dark blue or black Cadillac SRX on Wayne Street.
Police said the offender parked the vehicle prior to the attack, and got back into it after the stabbing. The man then fled northbound, police said.
The woman was grabbed from behind, put in a choke hold, and stabbed multiple times as she was walking to the Red Line station, police said. The victim didn't know the man who attacked her, and she wasn't robbed, police said.

The offender last seen wearing a black hoodie and baggy black pants, police said.
The 21-year-old victim is a DePaul student, according to a GoFundMe account set up to help to help her pay for medical expenses. The photos on the site show stab wounds and cuts all over her upper body.

DePaul University is several blocks away from the attack. School officials sent out safety warning to students this week warning them to be vigilant and report anything suspicious.
Parents of students who go to Oscar Mayer School — which is also near the location where the woman was attacked — have been advised not to allow their children walk or play alone near the school until the violent suspect has been caught.
Aldermen have warned residents in the area to be vigilant and report anything suspicious as Chicago police continue their search for the attacker.
