Lincoln Park Zoo Hosts Evening of 'Wine and Wildflowers'

Lincoln Park Zoo celebrates the four elements of nature with an adults-only, evening garden party on July 29.

Water, earth, air, fire and… flowers? Lincoln Park Zoo hosts its annual garden party, Wine & Wildflowers, on July 29. The adults-only evening will celebrate the four classical elements of nature and pay homage to the environment through unique food and wine pairings. Proceeds from the evening support the illustrious gardens throughout the zoo.

Amateur gardeners to skillful horticulturists and everyone in between can appreciate the beauty of the zoo’s summer blooms while enjoying varietals and hors d’oeuvres. Live music will accompany guests’ footsteps as they enjoy an exclusive after-hours evening around the glistening water feature surrounding the iconic Dream Lady statue and the recently renovated Main Mall.

The zoo’s finest horticulture experts will join the evening for unique chats about the flora and fauna of the 49 acre grounds. In addition, sculpture tour leaders will guide guests through Nature in Motion: Sculpture at Lincoln Park Zoo,the first sculpture tour at the zoo, highlighting 16 local artisans. Guests can also indulge in friendly competition at the silent auction taking place throughout the event.

Wine & Wildflowers runs from 6-8:30 p.m. The event is limited to adults ages 21 and over with tickets available for purchase online for $75 ($65 for zoo members). Tickets must be purchased by July 24.
