To kick off the champagne festival, Geja’s will host a special tasting open to the public featuring the uniquely delicious Champagnes from Louis Roederer on Sunday, December 6th at 1 p.m. Cost is $30 per person; space is limited.

When he inherited the Champagne House in 1833, the entrepreneur Louis Roederer took a visionary approach to enriching his vines, aiming to master every stage of the wine’s creation. He forged the wine’s unique style, character, and taste. In the mid-nineteenth century, Louis Roederer acquired some of Champagne’s grand cru vineyards—an approach that contrasted sharply with contemporary practices.

“We’ve featured Louis Roederer in the past and it was so successful that we couldn’t wait to feature them again”, states Blake Farnsworth, Geja’s Café Wine Buyer. “The Champagne dinners are already the most popular of the year and sell out faster than any other but because it’s Roederer, it’ll fill up in the blink of an eye.”

To this day, the cuvées of the House of Louis Roederer are the fruit of patient work with fundamental ingredients, the collaboration of experts, a quest for the perfect balance, and hardy and generous grapes, cultivated in the Champagne soil, producing a wine with a summery character and crystalline elegance.

Known for romantic fondue dining – food one prepares and shares – and an extensive list of fine, moderately priced wines, Geja’s Café features over 20 different types of fondue entrees including cheese fondue and chocolate dessert fondue.
