The Lynn Sage Foundation Unites Chicago Eateries With "In Good Taste" Campaign

Wind and Dine For A Good Cause During October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, 150 of Chicago’s top restaurants and bars will come together during the month of October for The Lynn Sage Foundation’s IN GOOD TASTE campaign. Now in its 9th year, participating eateries will donate proceeds from select dishes, desserts and drinks to fight to cure breast cancer. Additionally, patrons can also participate by adding a donation directly to their bill.

What began in 2008 with 40 restaurants has grown into something much bigger. This year’s partners include Big Star, Four Corner’s Group, Francesca’s Restaurants, Gibson’s Restaurant Group, Harry Caray’s, Le Colonial, Siena Tavern, Stefani Restaurant Group, Swirlz Cupcakes, Wow Bao and many more.

"The Chicago restaurant community is beyond generous,” explains Laura Sage. “If you've been touched by breast cancer, please show your support by dining out during the month of October at one of our delicious restaurant partners. By ordering one of the IN GOOD TASTE ‘specials’ or simply adding a $1 to your bill, you will be making a big difference in our quest to end breast cancer."

Like year’s past, all proceeds from IN GOOD TASTE will benefit the Lynn Sage Scholars Program which funds some of the country’s most promising researchers in the field of breast cancer. By providing two-year scholarships early in their career, The Lynn Sage Foundation is helping shape the future of breast cancer research.

To date, The Lynn Sage Foundation has raised over $2,000,000 to support the Lynn Sage Scholars program while developing a strong partnership with Northwestern University. The foundation plans to extend its donations to an additional Chicago-based research institution to be announced in October.

About The Lynn Sage Foundation

The Lynn Sage Foundation was founded in 2003 by sisters Laura and Halee Sage in honor and memory of their mother, Lynn Sage, who tragically passed away at the age of 39 from breast cancer. Dedicated to finding a cure for this disease, the foundation built a strong philanthropic partnership with the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at Northwestern University and has raised over $2 million to support the Lynn Sage Scholars program.
