Man Killed In Bar Fight On Goose Island, Officials Say
In mid January, police were told a man died from a fall at a bar. This week officials determined the man died from a fight, not a fall.

CHICAGO, IL — A 31-year-old man died from injuries he suffered during a bar fight earlier this month, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. When police officers were called to the Goose Island bar where the man died Jan. 14, they were told the man had fallen and hit his head. His death has been ruled a homicide.
The fight happened at Estate Ultra Bar and Yacht Club at 1177 N. Elston Ave. around 2:20 a.m. Jan. 14, police said. Officers were told Jenaro Carballo was drunk and fell, hitting his head. The 31-year-old was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
An investigation determined Carballo died from blunt force trauma to the head and body in a fight, not a fall, officials said.
