Man Killed in Shooting That Shuts Down Lake Shore Drive
The victim was driving a silver Lexus southbound early Wednesday when another vehicle pulled alongside him and opened fire.

CHICAGO, IL — A man, 25, was fataly shot while driving along Lake Shore Drive on Wednesday morning on the North Side, accoding to the Chicago Sun-Times.
The man was behind the wheel of a silver Lexus and heading south at around 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, in the 2300 block of North Lake Shore Drive in the Lincoln Park neighborhood when the incident happened, the report stated. Another vehicle pulled up alongside the Lexus, and the victim was shot in the chest, the report added.
The victim lost control of the Lexus and crashed into the median, the report stated. Two passengers in the Lexus — a man and woman — were not hurt in either the shooting or the chrash, the report stated.

Police shut down the south lanes of Lake Shore Down for about three hours while officers investigated the shooting, the report stated. Investigators are looking into the possibility that the shooting was gang-related, according to the Chicago Tribune.
This was the second time this week that a section of Lake Shore Drive was closed down by police for a significant amount of time. On Sunday, Feb. 12, a SWAT team blocked off traffic in both directions on the road near Buckingham Fountain while a negotiator talked down Jedidiah Brown, a distraught community activist who was parked in his car with a gun and threatening suicide. The incident ended peacefuly.
