Man Shot On Lake Shore Drive In Gold Coast

CHICAGO, IL — A man was shot on Lake Shore Drive Sunday night in the Gold Coast neighborhood, police said. The 40-year-old was driving near Pearson Street when he was wounded around 11 p.m., according to authorities. Another vehicle pulled up next to him in the 800 block of North Lake Shore Drive and someone inside fired shots, police said.

The victim was hit in the leg, but was able to drive himself to Illinois Masonic Hospital, police said. He was in stable condition, according to authorities.

No one was in custody as of Monday morning.
