MR. SUBMARINE CELEBRATES 40 YEARS IN CHICAGO

Chicago's Original Submarine Sandwich Franchise Hosts Customer Appreciation Day on Oct. 5

To celebrate its 40th anniversary in business, Mr. Submarine will host a Customer Appreciation Day on Monday, Oct. 5 at all of its 25 locations in the Chicagoland area. The family-owned sandwich franchise will serve up 6” Mr. Submarine sandwiches for its original 1975 price of .99 cents at participating locations, while supplies last, limit one per customer. The renowned Mr. Submarine sandwich is the shop’s most popular menu item and is a delicious combination of ham, salami, chopped ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, vinaigrette & cheese.

“It’s hard to believe that it has been 40 years since we opened our first location in Berwyn, Ill.,” said Gus Tzoumas, founder of Mr. Submarine. “Our customers are the reason we’ve been in business all of these years, and we’re happy to show our gratitude by hosting a Customer Appreciation Day. We plan on serving great subs to our loyal guests for many years to come.”

The .99 cent 6” Mr. Submarine is redeemable by coupon only. Coupons will be available in the following publications: RedEye (Friday, Oct. 2 and Monday, Oct. 5); Chicago Tribune (Sunday, Oct. 4 and Monday, Oct. 5); and Chicago Sun-Times (Sunday, Oct. 4 and Monday, Oct. 5).

Chicago-based Mr. Submarine is the city’s original submarine sandwich franchise. Since 1975, Mr. Submarine has been devoted to serving up delicious sandwiches to the local communities in which it operates. Best known for its 6” subs, the restaurant also serves tasty soups, salads and side dishes. Mr. Submarine currently has 25 locations throughout the Chicagoland area.
