New Beauty App Reinvents Salon Appointment Booking Process

SpaMe Offers Users Real-Time Booking That Is Simple and Efficient

At at time when simplicity is a must, entrepreneur Michael Kim makes salon appointments quick and easy with today’s launch of SpaMe. This real-time booking app gives users the ability to search for salons in their area, assess customer reviews, view open time slots, book appointments and receive instant confirmations….all with the swipe of a finger.

SpaMe’s first beauty service focus will be nail salons, an astounding 8.5 billion dollar per year industry. While the majority have not yet converted from the archaic method of appointment booking such as walk-ins and phone reservations, SpaMe’s hassle-free process will attract business from users who want immediate and efficient results.

SpaMe’s comprehensive reservation management system combined with a low subscription membership results in added value to a salon’s business. By encouraging customers to use the SpaMe app, salons will not only retain a greater percentage of their existing customer base, but also expand their reach by servicing those unable to book at locations not utilizing the technology.

“Consider it the ‘open table’ for beauty services,” explains Kim. “SpaMe is different from existing options in that users can book appointments then receive immediate confirmation at their convenience. You are not waiting on a call service to contact the salon to book the appointment …SpaMe eliminates the middle man.”

Kim grew up in Skokie, IL and attended University of Iowa and Univeristy of Illinois, Chicago. He’s worked in the financial industry for the past eighteen years before creating SpaMe.

Approxmiately 30 salons are available on the SpaMe app in the Chicagoland area including as far north as Glenview, as far west at Oak Brook and as far south as 71st street. Availabe on both iOS and Android platforms, SpaMe plans to operate in additional cities including Los Angeles, New York, Dallas, Miami, Boston, etc.

SpaMe features only “partnered” salons to eliminate any confusion for the consumer when making appointments or showing up to their desired location. No texts or phone calls are required to solidfy an appointment and SpaMe is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

“We are in a time where people are more willing to rely on real time booking for everything from restaurants to travel, so why not include personal services?” explains Kim.

Kim eventually plans to expand SpaMe’s reach beyond nail treatments and into multiple services in the beauty/spa industry including massages, facials, hair cut/color, waxing, etc.

In addition, Kim will be donating a percentage of ongoing sales to Mastercard’s affiliated charitable cause program with the Vietnam Women’s Union. The partnership’s focus is to increase female entrepreneurship and leadership in business in Vietnam by funding scholarships for outstanding university students wishing to purse careers in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math related fields. So far Mastercard has impacted 200,000 women and girls in Asia Pacific.

SpaMe eliminates anxiety, frustration and uncertainty of walking into a salon and having to wait for a seat. It’s convenient and easy to use… who doesn’t want to save time?
