New Water Management System To Combat Flooding In Trebes Park
A community park in Lincoln Park is getting a new system that will help with flooding, the 43rd Ward announced.

CHICAGO, IL — Trebes Park near Racine and Webster in Lincoln Park is getting a new system that will help with its notorious flooding, Ald. Michele Smith announced Thursday. Residents have had to deal with flooding and water accumulation at the park for a long time, the alderman said. Chicago's park district is installing the new technology this week, the city said.
The Parjana technology will allow water to percolate naturally through the hard-baked soil underneath the park, the city said.
This new technology has been successfully tested in Mt. Greenwood Park, and Trebes Park will be another test location.
