North Center Man Charged in Fatal Neighborhood Stabbing

A 25-year-old man has been charged in the fatal North Center stabbing Tuesday of a man who was found bleeding to death by his mother on his Damen Avenue doorstep.

Christopher Shoji, of the 2000 block of West Warner Avenue, has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Salomon Morales, who was found gravely wounded around 4 a.m. at his home in the 4200 block of North Damen Avenue, according to DNAinfo.

Morales' mother found him and he was taken to the hospital, but died a short time later. The two men lived about a block from each other.
