OPEN HOUSE at Glenwood Academy (for new students)

Looking for a safe learning environment? Glenwood Academy is a boarding school offering an excellent education for students

Glenwood Academy is a Sunday-Friday residential school that serves good students from challenging circumstances impacted by poverty, violence, inadequate education systems or lack of resources. Glenwood Academy will host its Open House for prospective students and their families on Sunday, January 31st.

The open house will include a presentation on Glenwood Academy given by school leadership, small group tours of the campus led by student ambassadors and a Q&A session with Glenwood Academy staff. Attendees will have the opportunity to fill out applications and speak individually to staff members. Additional details are below.

Who: Admission to Glenwood Academy is given to students who live with one of the following:

· A household with limited financial resources

· An insecure or otherwise unsafe learning and living environment

· Inadequate daily supervision

· Family desertion or divorce

· Other serious disturbances affecting families, such as disability or significant illness

When: Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 3-6 p.m.

Where: 500 W. 187th St. Glenwood, IL 60425 in the Irwin Family Center on the second floor
