The historic tour begins at 1:30 p.m., following a 45-minute lunch inside Lockwood Restaurant & Bar, the Palmer House’s modern American fare restaurant. Executive Chef Matt Wiltzius prepares a prix-fixe menu featuring a salad and entrée along with the hotel’s world-famous brownie and a glass of wine “to go,” serving as the ideal accompaniment for the tour afterwards. Guests have the opportunity to meet and mingle with each other prior to the tour over lunch.

After lunch, guests meet “Historian Extraordinaire” Price for an interactive presentation in the hotel’s Museum, which is followed by a waling tour of the historic hotel’s art-deco lobby, grand ballrooms, guestrooms and vintage artifacts showcased throughout the famed property. Guests receive exclusive access to many sites within the hotel, as many of these areas are not typically open to the public. Upon conclusion of the tour, participants receive a commemorative gift that embodies the true spirit of the hotel.
