'Person' Found in Lincoln Park Lagoon Was Just Trash
Alert indicated recovery had been made in south lagoon after miscommunication between Chicago police, fire.

CHICAGO, IL - Garbage found Thursday afternoon in the Lincoln Park Lagoon was first thought to have been a dead body.
Tweets from the Chicago Fire Department shortly after 3:30 p.m. indicated a recovery was made by the Chicago Police Department near the 2200 block of N. Lake Shore Drive in the South Lagoon, near Lincoln Park Zoo.
But shortly after, the CFD indicated it was “trash, not a body.”
“CPD recovery was of an object, not a person at the lagoon. Miscommunication via radio. !!!!!!!” they later alerted.
The object found was actually a bunch of trash found inside a tent, the Sun-Times reported.
