Police Investigating North Side Robberies
Police have issued a community alert warning North Side residents of three robberies in Lincoln Park.

CHICAGO, IL — Three robberies were reported in the 18th Police District between March 7 and March 14, police said. In each incident, the offender went up to victims from behind, put a hard object to their back — implying a weapon — and demanded money, according to police. The suspect then fled after each robbery, police said.
All three robberies happened in the evenings in Lincoln Park, police said. The first happened in the 2200 block of North Racine March 7, the second happened March 11 in the 1300 block of West Webster Avenue and the third robbery happened in the 200 block of North Southport March 14, according to police.
No one was in custody.
