Police Issue Another Burglary Alert for Lincoln Park
The latest community alert for garage break-ins includes a description of the suspect.

For the second day in a row, Chicago police are urging Lincoln Park residents to be on the look-out for suspicious activity after a series of break-ins in the area.
The most recent incidents were on a two-block stretch of Wayne Ave. on Monday when homes or garages were broken into. According to police they occurred on the:
- 2200 block of N Wayne Ave. on Oct. 21 between 12 and 5:15 a.m.
- 2100 block of N Wayne Ave. on Oct. 21 between 1 and 7 a.m.
- 2100 block of N Wayne Ave. on Oct. 21 between 12 and 10 a.m.
Wednesday's alert followed a series of garage break-ins in and around Lincoln Park. Read more about those incidents here.
Police released a description of the offender in the Wayne Avenue burglaries. He's described as a black male, about 6 feet tall, wearing a black leather coat and bright white gym shoes.Police are reminding residents to:
- Be aware of this crime and alert other neighbors in the area.
- Remember to lock doors and windows and activate the alarm and video surveillance system if you have one on the premises.
- Call 911 to report any suspicious person(s), vehicles(s), or activity near your business or residence
- Call 911 and provide a detailed description of the offender(s) including any vehicle description and license plate information.
