Police Officer Crashes ATV In Lincoln Park

CHICAGO, IL — A Chicago police officer crashed an all-terrain vehicle on the North Side Sunday night, police said. The crash happened around 9 p.m. in Lincoln Park, authorities confirmed. The officer struck a light pole, police said.

The officer was driving the police ATV on the bike path, when he hit the pole and fell off the vehicle, police said. The crash happened in the 1900 block of North Lake Shore Drive, according to police.

The officer was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, police said. No one else was injured.
