Police Warning Of String Of Muggings In Old Town

Chicago police are looking for three suspects after several victims were assaulted and robbed.

CHICAGO, IL — Police issued a community alert after a string of muggings in the city's Old Town neighborhood. In all thefts, victims were grabbed or pushed to the ground, and their belongings were taken. Police are looking for three suspects.

The first mugging happened Jan. 14 around 8 p.m. in the 1500 block of North Wieland Street. On Jan. 16, a person was robbed in the 500 block of West Wisconson Street.

Another mugging happened in the 1200 block of North La Salle Drive around 7:15 p.m. on Jan. 22.

Two of the suspects are described as black men, standing 5'9 to 6'1, between 165 to 180 lbs, and another suspect is described as a black woman, 5-9 to 5'11. No further description was released.
