Popular Wisconsin Coffee Company Expands to Chicago

Chicago, IL - The on-the-go lifestyle of Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood will get another jolt in the near future as yet another coffee shop plans an opening there.

Colectivo, a Wisconsin-based coffee shop formerly known as Alterra Coffee, will move into the vacated Einstein Bros. Bagels shop at 2350 N. Clark St., according to a DNAinfo Chicago report.

While the company did not confirm the plans, city records show the business has filed for a permit with the intention of opening there. And an advertisement for a cafe manager at the company’s “new Chicago location” has been listed online.

Colectivo has several locations in the Milwaukee-area and in Madison.

The Lincoln Park location will be the first Chicago venture for Colectivo, according to the Milwaukee Business Journal.

Colectivo will be the newest of numerous coffee shops in the North Side neighborhood. The Bagelers Coffeehouse, Cocoa + Co., Floriole Cafe & Bakery and CityGrounds Coffee Bar are ranked as the best on Yelp.
