RAPE VICTIM ADVOCATES PRESENTS STANDING SILENT WITNESS DEMONSTRATION
The annual public gathering presented by Rape Victim Advocates (RVA) in recognition of silenced victims.

In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Rape Victim Advocates (RVA) will host “Standing Silent Witness,” on Friday, April 24th at 12pm at Federal Plaza (219 S Dearborn Street) in Chicago. This annual public gathering that has garnered national media attention is in recognition of silenced victims who may never give voice to their experiences.
The interactive demonstration will showcase survivors, supporters and allies standing silent for one hour in recognition of those survivors without a voice. Participants can wear t-shirts (provided) bearing words and phrases that symbolize sexual assault through the eyes of survivors whose stories are often invisible and unacknowledged.
Show your support by walking amongst those positioned and reading the stories of survivors or choose to stand silent. The event is free and open to the public.
