Revamp Your Workout Regimen with Battle Ropes Training at CrossTown Fitness

The high intensity interval gym has incorporated yet another way to achieve total-body workout benefits, now with the addition of Battle Ropes. Often seen at football training camps and a cross-training essential, the thick, coiled ropes can be used in countless exercises to help increase upper-body strength while also engaging the legs.
The trainers at CrossTown Fitness are integrating Battle Ropes more than ever into their group classes, individual personal training sessions and at the open gym. CTF is fully outfitted with Spri’s 18-foot conditioning ropes catering to its seasoned members as well as first time goers.
“Our clients love this new offering because not only do the exercises get their heart rate up, but many of the movements are anaerobic so you’re able build muscle mass using the ropes,” says CTF Fitness Director Betina Gozo.
With no extra equipment required, and from the help of a firm grip and proper gym shoes, exercises start as simple as stationary rope waves, which can help with grip strength. To intensify the workout, members can add reverse lunges to the mix resulting in a high calorie burn during and post workout.

Gozo and the CTF trainers will also get creative during their Battle Rope sessions by adding a sled or weight to the end of a rope to trigger muscles in the back and core. One single battle rope alone provides a scalable, yet strong variety of routines to achieve the ultimate total body workout.
Classes can be booked through CrossTown Fitness’ online scheduling center.
