Robbers Posing As Ride-Share Drivers In Lincoln Park, River North

Police said armed suspects have picked up unsuspecting passengers on the North Side throughout the summer.

CHICAGO — Robbers have been posing as ride-share drivers in the River North and Lincoln Park neighborhoods, according to a police alert. Two women have committed a string of robberies either by force or at gunpoint in the early morning hours throughout the summer, police warned.

The robberies happened in the following locations:

  • 700 block of North Larrabee Street on June 24
  • 0-100 block of West Hubbard Street on June 30
  • 600 block of North Franklin Street on July 22
  • 0-100 block of West Hubbard Street on Aug. 5
  • 400 block of North Dearborn Street on Aug. 10
  • 2100 block of North Dayton Street on Aug. 12
  • 2300 block of North Ashland Avenue on Aug. 31
