RUSH UNIVERSITY WOMAN'S BOARD WELCOMES ANN COMPTON AS KEYNOTE SPEAKER FOR 21st ANNUAL SPRING LUNCHEON

Ann Compton, former ABC News White House Correspondent, as the keynote speaker for the 21st Annual Spring Luncheon

The Woman’s Board of Rush University Medical Center will feature Ann Compton, former ABC News White House Correspondent, as the keynote speaker for their 21st Annual Spring Luncheon on Tuesday, May 5th at the Ritz Carlton (160 E Pearson Street). Compton will get up close and personal by sharing stories about her illustrious 41-year career covering seven Presidents. She will recall candid moments with First Family members that historians and reporters are not privy. All proceeds from the luncheon will support Rush Medical Center’s education and research endeavors along with Rush’s community service outreach programs.

“We are excited to have Ann Compton as our program speaker,” explains Mary McCarthy, President of the Woman’s Board. “She has drawn tremendous interest not only because our audience has followed her in the media through much of her career, but also because she grew up in Chicago and the North Shore. Ann Compton has covered the White House since Gerald Ford was President and we are looking forward to hearing some of her insights from this truly unique perspective.”

The Woman’s Board is widely known throughout the city and prestigious social circles for their annual fashion gala that features the country’s oldest charitable runway fashion show. Celebrities, fashion designers, athletes and socialites come together for one of Chicago’s most impressive events. This year’s event will take place on Thursday, October 1st at Morgan Manufacturing.
