String Of Burglaries Hits Near North Businesses

Over the past 10 days there have been at least nine burglaries.

CHICAGO, IL — North Side businesses are being warned of a string of burglaries. Police said nine businesses were targeted in less than ten days. The burglaries happened between Jan. 13 and 21, police said.

Four businesses were targeted on Clark Street, and businesses on Grand, Wacker, Huron, State and Lasalle were also burglarized, according to police.

Police said they believe one suspect is behind all the thefts. He forces his way into buildings by breaking glass, then pries open registers to take cash, according to police. No one was harmed in the robberies, police said.
