Target to Open in Lincoln Park, Lakeview in 2016

National retailer plans two openings within a mile of each other.

CHICAGO, IL - A pair of new Target stores will open within a mile of each other on Chicago’s north side in 2016.

A “Lincoln Park North” location at 2650 N. Clark St. and “Lakeview Central” shop at 3200 N. Clark St. are among 11 planned openings nationally for the Minnesota-based retailer.

The Lincoln Park store will occupy 31,000 square-feet and open in July, according to Target’s website.

“Merchandise includes men’s and women’s apparel and shoes, home items aimed at apartment and condo dwellers, beauty items, groceries (including meal solutions) and tech.”

The store will include a pharmacy.

The Lakeview store - set to open in October - will occupy approximately 29,000 square-feet and include a pharmacy and a Starbucks.

“Merchandise includes apparel, home and beauty items, fresh groceries (with grab-and-go offerings) and tech,” according to the website.
