Thieves Target Rideshare, Taxi Drivers On One Block In Old Town

CHICAGO — Robbers stole cash and property from taxi and rideshare drivers in a string of thefts in the Old Town neighborhood, police said. Five thefts happened in the 1300 block of North Hudson Avenue between Aug. 1 and Aug. 9, according to police.

In each incident, the drivers were sitting in their vehicles, when several young men approached and stole their cell phones, computer tablets, cash and other property before fleeing, police said.
