Tickets Go On Sale For Volleywood At North Avenue Beach
The city's biggest beach volleyball tournament/summer music festival has announced its entertainment lineup.

CHICAGO, IL — Chicago Sport & Social Club has announced that its biggest beach volleyball tournament will feature performances by two popular DJs: Matoma and Thomas Jack. The 12th annual event will be held Saturday, July 14, at North Avenue Beach. The hybrid tournament-festival will also offer food and stocked bars.
Chicago Sport & Social Club wanted to create a volleyball tournament where players could meet and compete while enjoying a day filled with drinks, food and live entertainment, organizers said. Volleywood was created over a decade ago and has evolved not only into one of the biggest beach volleyball tournaments in the country, but also one of the most popular summer music festivals in Chicago.
Norwegian DJ and record producer, Matoma will spin up a feel-good summer mix of uplifting house, breezy funk and classic hip-hop tracks with hits like 'False Alarm' and 'Lonely' which have been remixed by top artists like Steve Aoki. Matoma's latest hit paid tribute to his biggest influence, The Notorious B.I.G. with the song, Party On the West Coast which featured the late rapper’s wife Faith Evans and Snoop Dogg.
