Friends and family members gathered for a woman was pulled into Lake Michigan Friday.

CHICAGO — A vigil was held Sunday evening for a 24-year-old woman who was swept into Lake Michigan last week. The woman's friends and family members laid candles and roses near the spot where the woman went missing on North Avenue Beach.
The woman jumped into the lake with her two friends, who were both rescued. One of her friends was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition has stabilized. The other friend refused treatment at the scene.
The woman, identified as Eddisa Concepcion, remains unaccounted for; however her mother holds out hope that she will be found alive, according to a report by WGN.

Her friends were able to be rescued because they were closer to the shore, according to the report. Divers weren't able to search for Concepcion because of the dangerous conditions at the time — waves were up to eight feet at times.
Concepcion, known as Dee Dee, was a graduate student at UIC, and worked at a nonprofit helping people buy homes, WGN reported.
