Violence Erupts at North Avenue Beach
Four ambulances responded to a fight with injuries Friday afternoon.

CHICAGO, IL - Four ambulances responded to what is being called a “large disturbance” at North Avenue Beach Friday afternoon, according to media reports.
The beach was unusually crowded at 2:30 p.m. when authorities arrived, according to an NBC-Chicago account. At least four people were taken from the beach to nearby hospitals.

Police said some in the group were intoxicated.
Rob Elgas of ABC-7 reports violence broke out and there were a few injuries.
