Woman, 55, Pistol Whipped, Robbed In Lincoln Park
A woman was mugged while waiting at a CTA bus stop, police said.

CHICAGO, IL — A 55-year-old woman was attacked and robbed by two men on the North Side Monday morning, police said. The attack happened in the 2400-block of North Ashland Avenue in Lincoln Park, authorities said. The victim was waiting at a CTA bus stop around 4:50 a.m., when a red SUV pulled up and two men jumped out, police said.
The men pulled out handguns and pistol-whipped the woman, then stole her purse, according to police.
The woman suffered a head injury and was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center for treatment, police said.

Police said a woman was driving the red SUV that was carrying the suspects. No one was in custody.
