2 Boys Shot In Uptown

Both were in serious condition, police said.

CHICAGO, IL — Two boys were shot on the city's North Side Thursday evening, police said. The shooting happened in the 4600 block of North Sheridan Road near Wilson just after 7:30 p.m., according to police. A 13-year-old boy and 17-year-old teen were walking along the road when three people approached and shots were fired, police said.

The 13-year-old boy was taken to Lurie Children's Hospital, and the 17-year-old was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital, police said. Both were in serious condition, authorities said.

No one was in custody.
