7 Injured In Crash On North Lake Shore Drive
The high-speed crash happened early Monday morning near Uptown, police said.

CHICAGO, IL — A car crash early Monday morning on Lake Shore Drive sent seven people to the hospital with injuries, police said. The crash happened in the 5200 block of North Lake Shore Drive at Foster Avenue just before 1:30 a.m., according to police.
Police said a 28-year-old man was driving a Honda Accord at a "high rate of speed" and struck a Toyota sedan. The Toyota spun out and hit a pole, and the Honda struck an embankment, according to police.
The driver of the Toyota suffered a broken arm and clavicle, and was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where his condition was stabilized, police said. Four women were also in the Toyota and were taken to Weiss Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The driver of the Accord and his female passenger were taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center with facial lacerations, where their conditions were stabilized, police said.
