Arrest Made In Deadly Rogers Park Fire
Police report Tuesday's fatal fire at a Rogers Park apartment building was intentionally set, killing one person.

CHICAGO, IL — Authorities have arrested a person of interest in Tuesday's fatal fire at a Chicago apartment building on Touhey Avenue in Rogers Park. WGN reports police say the fire was set on purpose and charges are pending against the suspect.
A 51-year-old woman died after jumping from the apartment building while trying to escape from the fire. She jumped before crews could rescue her, authorities said, adding that she was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She has since been identified as Maria Silva, 51, according to a report by the Chicago Tribune.

Patch reported that another woman suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital, officials said.
More than 20 others have been displaced from their homes by the fire, according to WGN.
