Body Found After Fire In Clothing Donation Box In Uptown

A burned body was found in a clothing donation bin in Uptown, police said.

CHICAGO, IL — A body was found Thursday after a fire in a clothing donation bin in the city's Uptown neighborhood, police said. The body was discovered inside the box around 7:15 a.m. after firefighters were called to the scene. The fire department said the blaze was already out by the time crews arrived.

The clothing donation box is located in the 1500 block of West Wilson near Clark Street.

No further details about the body have been released. Area North detectives are investigating the incident.
