Boy, 17, Charged In Uptown Shooting

A teenager has been charged with attempted murder after a North Side shooting.

CHICAGO, IL — A teenage boy has been charged after a shooting in Uptown, police said. A 21-year-old man was shot in the last week in the 4500 block of North Magnolia, according to a police news release. The shooting happened just after noon on Thursday, police said.

The 21-year-old was shot multiple times during an argument, police said. He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition, according to officials.

The 17-year-old boy was arrested in the 600 block of North Claremont, police said. He has been charged as an adult with attempted murder, and was scheduled to appear in bond court Thursday.
