One Tail at a Time is a no-kill, all-breed dog rescue that aims to lower euthanasia rates in the greater Chicagoland area and provide education on the humane treatment of companion animals. 

Meet OTAT’S Calvin Cowpants! Six-month old Calvin is playful, wiggly, smart and sociable with everyone he meets, including dogs.  As with all playful adolescents, he'd likely benefit from a basic training class.

Meet Friends’ Maya! Maya is a gorgeous, energetic, wiggly, happy, friendly and playful, two-year-old, 55-pound, black and white Boxer-mix looking for a loving guardian. Maya is non-destructive in the home, housebroken and crate-trained.

 

Meet Friends’ Pilot! This 2 year old is a very sweet and affectionate boy. He recently graduated from his training class knowing sit, down, spin, stay and much more! Pilot's foster mom says he is extremely smart and responds well to training. Pilot will melt in your arms for petting and will easily convince you it was your idea to smother him with tummy rubs. Despite the fact Pilot has a healed fractured hip, he loves to play, loves his daily walks and playing fetch in the back yard is one of his very favorite activities.
