Brown Line Train Hits Car

CHICAGO, IL - A car was hit by a CTA Brown Line train Thursday afternoon.

One person was injured and taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital in good condition, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

Reports indicate the car went around a lowered gate at 4633 N. Rockwell in the city's Ravenswood Gardens neighborhood near Lincoln Square and collided with the train.

The CTA reports "major delays" on the line, which has begun moving again following the incident. Residual delays are expected to continue.
