Respawn Improv Featuring Improv is Dead

In case you haven’t had enough festively spooky theater this season, comedy podcast Improv is Dead, composed of veteran comedians Tim Lyons and Damian Anaya, is taking to the iO Theater for a special headlining performance at Respawn Improv on November 4th at 6pm.

Respawn Improv, a show conveniently already themed around zombies, is a weekly show at the iO Theater hosted by indie improv team Blue.0 (pronounced blue-point-oh). Each week, the show features a different opening team originally formed at the iO Theater, whether through one of several team incubator programs or the iO Training Center’s five-level class program, who no longer has a regular performance run. The teams then “respawn” at the show with another performance followed by a set from Blue.0, a team first formed as a lab cast to fan-favorite iO show Blueprint. Respawn Improv began back in April of this year and has featured a wide variety of opening groups, including several well-known teams like Cook County Social Club and retired iO house team Lil Tooties.
