Carjackers Rear-Ending Vehicles On North Side, Police Warn
The carjackings happen when victims get out of their vehicles after they're hit, police warned North Side residents.

CHICAGO — Police are warning of a string of carjackings this week in the North Center, Lake View, Lincoln Park and Andersonville neighborhoods. The carjackings occured on Monday and Tuesday, police warned.
Police said the carjackers are employing a cruel tactic: they're driving into cars' bumpers, causing victims to get out of their vehicles. Once the victim is out, the offenders show a handgun and steal their vehicle, police warned in a community alert.
