As the tax-filing deadline
draws near, local tax offices stay open late to help customers and the
community

CHICAGO, IL - APRIL 10, 2014  –The April 15 tax filing deadline is
right around the corner, and plenty of Americans still have to have their taxes
prepared. That’s why several Chicago Jackson
Hewitt Tax Service® locations will be offering extended hours to accommodate
both new and returning clients.

“Filing at the last minute can be a big
stressor for many people,” said Lissette Cardona, Area Manager of Chicago Jackson
Hewitt®. “Our extended hours are designed to help the ease the stress and take
away the worry of ‘crunch time’. We won't leave until the last client does.”

In addition to filing their taxes,
customers can also contribute to The Little Footprints Foundation.  Jackson Hewitt will give customers a $30
discount on paid tax preparation when customers donate an Easter-themed item
for the foundation’s upcoming annual Easter egg hunt.*  The Little Footprints Foundation helps children that have recently lost a parent or parents, within the
past year, in an automobile accident.

To help get ready, Cardona recommends that taxpayers
have all necessary tax documents together. Jackson Hewitt provides an online checklist
of items needed for filing a tax return, so filers know what they need to
bring with them.
