DUI Crackdown Planned in Albany Park This Weekend

Police will look closely for drunk drivers beginning Saturday at 7 p.m.

Chicago, IL - Chicago police will be on the lookout for drunk drivers this weekend in Albany Park.

It's not clear where the DUI Strike Force will be set up, but police said in a news release this week that it will be from 7 p.m. Saturday night through 8 a.m. Sunday morning in the 17th District, which covers Albany Park.

Cops will also keep a close eye on speeders and seat belt violators.

"The purpose of this program is to saturate a pre-designated area with roving police officers that continually monitor vehicular traffic for signs of impaired driving," according to police. "Patrols also place emphasis on speed, alcohol-related and safety belt violations."
