Lanes Reopen On Kennedy Expressway After Police Activity

All northbound lanes were blocked off at Montrose, Illinois State Police said.

CHICAGO, IL — All northbound lanes of the Kennedy Expressway were shut down after police activity in the area, according to the Illinois State Police. Southbound lanes remained open during the closure, police said. The northbound lanes reopened around 3:45 p.m., according to police.

Multiple police officers and state patrol cars were seen in the area redirecting traffic.

No details about what caused the lane closures have been released.
