Lincoln Square Neighbors Form Popular Association

The new Lincoln Square Neighbors Association saw a big turnout for their launch event.

CHICAGO, IL — The Heart of Lincoln Square Neighbors Association held its launch event Monday night at Carbon Arc bar on North Lincoln Avenue. According to the association's Facebook page, organizers were blown away by the turnout. Coordinators said close to 100 people attended.

"We’ve got a lot of work ahead to create a neighbors association worthy of the passion we saw tonight at Carbon Arc Bar...THANK YOU for showing how much this neighborhood cares, and for showing up to support one another," the group posted to its Facebook page.

The group also said there would be no discrimination based on geographic boundaries—anyone who felt connected to the Lincoln Square community was welcome to come to the meeting.
