Local Lawyers Co-author Article in Illinois Bar Journal

Gabe Reilly-Bates, Richard Y. Hu and Claire E. Brennan are the authors of “New Rules for Discovery of Electronically Stored Information,” an article which appears in the October 2014 issue of the Illinois Bar Journal, the monthly magazine of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA).

In the article, the authors review new Illinois Supreme Court rule amendments that require parties to weigh the costs and benefits of Electronically Stored Information discovery, among other important changes.

The 33,000-member ISBA (isba.org), with offices in Springfield and Chicago, provides professional services to Illinois lawyers, and education and services to the public through a website (illinoislawyerfinder.com), consumer brochures, and distribution of legal information.

Gabe Reilly-Bates, of Chicago’s Lincoln Square, is a partner and Richard Hu, of Wrigleyville, is an associate at the law firm of Taft, Stettinius & Hollister, LLP, in their Chicago office, where Claire Brennan, of Streeterville, was a summer law clerk.
