Mingle. Master. Meet: Entertainment Law Mixer

Winning sports teams and windy weather aren’t the only things Chicago excels in, and on Wednesday, September 30, Chicago’s finest in arts and culture will have the opportunity to come out for a mixer event to mingle and mastermind. Join Chicago lawyer Johnetta G. Paye, Esq. of J. Paye & Associates Attorneys at Law and reality star/hairstylist Valincia Saulsberry from “Chicagolicious” at a cocktail reception from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., in Salero Restaurant in the West Loop Chicago area at 621 W. Randolph St.

Invited guests will include entertainers, actors, musicians, filmmakers, film producers, music producers, writers, talent managers, bloggers, podcasters and YouTube personalities from the Chicagoland area. Paye will be on hand to answer any questions about entertainment law, contracts, trademarks and copyrights for both aspiring and established artists. Artists who are looking for a change or a few tips on the entertainment industry will get plenty of feedback from Valincia, who goes by the catchphrase “I want to make you fabulous.”

The Wednesday night event will include plenty of activities. During the first hour, guests can enjoy free Spanish appetizers. Alcohol will also be available for purchase at the standing cocktail mixer. Then, be ready with questions during the 45-minute Q&A session between Saulsberry and Paye, Esq. Paye has been an entertainment lawyer for over six years. Her background includes employment as a law clerk in the legal department at the Tribune Company. She is also a member of the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association (BESLA) and on the Junior Board of Cinema Chicago.
