Missing Albany Park Canoeist Found Safe

Federico "Fede" Borman had been missing for a week.

The Albany Park man who disappeared last week on a canoe on the north branch of the Chicago River has been found safe and is reunited with his family, Chicago Sun-Times reports indicate.

Federico “Fede” Borman was reported missing to the Chicago Police on May 6. He was believed to have been traveling along the shore of Lake Michigan, possibly north of the city as far as Wisconsin.

Police would not provide additional details.
