Patricia’s mother, Kathleen Zinn Cutter, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 1998 and lost her battle a year later.  Her mother-in-law, Panagiota Giannoulias, is a leukemia survivor and, since 1998, the Giannoulias family has hosted an annual celebration to help raise awareness and funds to fight blood cancers.

Patricia became involved with LLS in 2005 and joined the Man & Woman of the Year committee in 2007. Man & Woman of the Year is LLS’s annual 10-week fundraising campaign in which leaders in the community compete to raise the most funds for LLS and earn the coveted title of Man or Woman of the Year. Patricia ran in the campaign in 2009 and won the Woman of the Year title.

Patricia and her husband Chris live in Chicago with their young son Spiros.

“We are delighted to have Patricia on the Board of Trustees,” says LLS executive director Pam Swenk. “She has long been dedicated to funding cures for blood cancers, and she is a wonderful leader on the Board and with the Man & Woman of the Year campaign.”

LLS exists to find cures and ensure access to treatment for blood cancer patients. LLS has contributed nearly $1 billion to blood cancer research and is the leading source of free blood cancer information, education and patient support.
