Pharmacy Director Recognized for Assisting In-Need Patient

Swedish Covenant Hospital's monthly STAR (Special Thanks and Recognition) Program recognizes employees for their outstanding work and commitment to safety, excellent outcomes and an unmatched patient experience.

Congratulations to our STAR employee of the month, Ramesh Patel, PharmD, senior director of pharmacy services and clinical research!

Patel was nominated by a co-worker who commended him for assiting a patient that was experience issues with her insurance plan and could not afford critical medication. His assitance was credited with avoiding a hospital visit for the patient, whose insurance issues have since be resolved.

Patel has been at Swedish Covenant Hospital since 1978.
