Attempted Child Luring Reported In Albany Park

Police said a man told a 13-year-old girl to get into his car on Chicago's North Side.

CHICAGO, IL — Police have issued a community alert warning North Side residents of a reported child luring attempt Saturday. The incident happened in the Albany Park neighborhood around 12:45 p.m., police said. A 13-year-old girl was walking in the 4200 block of North Kimball Street, when a black Nissan SUV pulled up to her, police said.

The man inside the SUV told her to get into his car, according to the alert. The girl then ran back to her house and called her parents, police said.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, between 27 and 34 years old, with short brown hair, a clean shaven face and three lines shaved into his left eye brow, according to the community alert. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, police said.

He was driving a black Nissan SUV with tinted windows, police said.
