Police Warn Of Sheridan Park Burglaries

CHICAGO — Police have issued a community alert to North Side residents after a string of burglaries in the Sheridan Park neighborhood. At least six homes were burglarized between Oct. 11 and Oct. 29, police said.

In each burglary, an offender broke into a home through either an unlocked door, or a window after cutting its screen, police said. Once inside, the offender stole various items, according to the alert.

The burglaries occurred:

• in the 4500 block of North Dover St. on Oct. 11 at around 11 a.m.
• in the 4400 block of North Beacon St. on Oct. 11 at around 11:30 a.m.
• in the 4400 block of North Beacon St. on Oct. 22 from 7 a.m.-6:15 p.m.
• in the 4600 block of North Dover St. on Oct. 23 at around 5:45 p.m.
• in the 4500 block of North Beacon St. on Oct. 26-28 between 3 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
• in the 4400 block of North Dover St. on Oct. 29 at around 7:45 a.m.
